Continental Tooling Concepts (CTC) provides design services using Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3 and CATIA V5. We are capable of handling large design packages or single designs at a time. We excel in designing very large complex progressive and transfers dies, transfer mechanisms, special machining jigs and fixtures etc... We endeavor to provide our customers with designs that meet their unique individual needs.
Quality is an absolute must in designing tools and dies! With our tool and die making experience we know that quality can make the difference between big losses and big profits. We have internal checking procedures to verify that all moving components in our designs will travel without crashes. Every purchased item is checked for accurate order numbers. Full interference checking is performed on every design before it is delivered to the customer. This means that as long as the tool or die is machined accurately it will cycle on the first dry run.
All that being said there is no replacement for pure talent in designing tools and dies. No amount of technology will ever invalidate the value of a truly talented designer. Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a hard work ethic will always separate the good from the great in designing manufacturing equipment. We carefully recruit and train designers who have that raw mechanical talent to predict what is going to happen in the real world and who are comfortable using new technology.
